Tip Top Lives Up to his Name and wins Grand Prix at 2009 Collecting Gaits Farm/USEF National Grand Prix Dressage Championship
(Gladstone, NJ, USA) – The first leg of the 2009 Collecting Gaits Farm/USEF National Grand Prix Dressage Championship, which was rescheduled to Friday morning after Thursday’s deluge, showcased some of the top horse/rider combinations in the US. But it wasn’t until the final ride of the class that anyone could break 70%. Veteran Olympic rider Leslie Morse and her classy 15-year-old stallion, Tip Top 962, put in a very focused and expressive effort to take a commanding lead with a score of 72% at the 2009 Collecting Gaits Farm/USEF Dressage Festival of Champions.

US Show Jumpers Romp through Rome to Win Second Leg of Meydan FEI Nations Cup
(Rome, Italy) - The US Show Jumping squad bounced back with a valiant effort, winning the second leg of the Meydan FEI Nations Cup in Rome, Italy today (Friday). Chef d’Equipe, George Morris continues to build a show jumping empire with the US. After winning back-to-back Olympic Gold medals in 2004 and 2008, Morris brought a team of mixed experience to Rome and dominated the nine other nations to finish on a two round total of 4 faults. The French finished second on 8, followed by Great Britain on 12.

Further to a request made by a majority of the FEI Bureau members, the FEI Headquarters today filed a protest with the FEI Tribunal on the basis of widely reported admissions by Marco Kutscher and Björn Nolting concerning the undeclared treatment given to Marco Kutscher’s horse, Cornet Obolensky, at the 2008 Olympic Games, and the circumstances surrounding this treatment including the collapse of the horse which subsequently took part in competition.

FEI Clean Sport Commission Update
