USEF Announces U.S. Reining Team for the 2008 FEI World Reining Championship
(Lexington, KY) - The United States Equestrian Federation (USEF) has approved the following horse/rider combinations for the U.S. Reining Team for the 2008 FEI World Reining Championship in Manerbio, Italy on September 11-14.

(Kreuth, Germany) - The fourth and last CRI ** in Germany this year was part of the NRHA Breeders Derby at Kreuth where eleven competitors from Germany, Austria, Russia and South Africa took part. The podium was resolutely German with Nico Hoermann clenching gold on a score of 219 riding the American Quarter Horse stallion Big Time Rooster.

Craig Schmersal Outmaneuvers the Competition to Win 2008 Adequan®/USEF National Open Reining Championship presented by Equine Motorcoach
(Oklahoma City, OK, USA – Under the lights at the Oklahoma State Fair Park, Craig Schmersal bested some of the top reiners in the country to win the 2008 Adequan®/United States Equestrian Federation (USEF) National Open Reining Championship presented by Equine Motorcoach. Schmersal, an Oklahoma native, won the title along with his share of the $25,000 in added money. The USEF championship was part of the National Reining Horse Association (NRHA) Derby.

The Final of the seventh season of the FEI World Cup™ Driving in Leipzig, Germany, from 18 to 20 January, is set to be filled with excitement. After five thrilling events, the six best indoor four-in-hand drivers of the world were selected. Unlike the previous six seasons, where the Final battle was dominated by Germany’s Michael Freund in the first years and by Freund and Dutchman Ijsbrand Chardon in the last three years, this season’s Finalists all have a fair chance to win the most prestigious title in Driving, apart from the World Championship title.

2007 FEI World Reining Masters: Austrian Rudi Kronsteiner Becomes First Non-American To Win Prestigious Event
(Oklahoma City, OK) - The fourth FEI World Reining Masters held in Oklahoma City (USA) on 29 November 2007 wrote Reining history. For the first time a competitor from outside the United States was able to win the gold medal in the Open division. Austrian Rudi Kronsteiner rode Roseanne Sternberg’s American Quarter Horse stallion SMART SPOOK to win gold medals in both the open and restricted divisions.

First High Performance Horse and Longuer Training Clinic to be Held in U.S.
(USA) - The United States Equestrian Federation is proud to host the first High Performance Horse and Longuer Training Clinic ever held on U.S. soil. The Vaulting Clinic will be held December 15 and 16 in Ventura County in Southern California. The clinic will feature German coach and longeur, Alexander Hartl. Alexander has been the coach of RV Ingelsberg since 1988. His many achievements include Gold Medals at the World and European Championships.

(USA) - The United States Equestrian Federation (USEF) is pleased to announce that the following riders have been invited and have elected to compete at the World Endurance Championship Test Event in Malaysia November 9-11, 2007. Unlike the Championships (scheduled for November 2008) where the Federation sends a team based on a Selection Procedure that is recommended by the high performance discipline committee and approved by the Federation, riders attending the Test event were invited by the Organizing Committee. The test event serves the purpose of proving that the course and the infrastructure and organization of the Organizing Committee are up to the standards of a World Endurance Championships.
