Tip Top Lives Up to his Name and wins Grand Prix at 2009 Collecting Gaits Farm/USEF National Grand Prix Dressage Championship
(Gladstone, NJ, USA) – The first leg of the 2009 Collecting Gaits Farm/USEF National Grand Prix Dressage Championship, which was rescheduled to Friday morning after Thursday’s deluge, showcased some of the top horse/rider combinations in the US. But it wasn’t until the final ride of the class that anyone could break 70%. Veteran Olympic rider Leslie Morse and her classy 15-year-old stallion, Tip Top 962, put in a very focused and expressive effort to take a commanding lead with a score of 72% at the 2009 Collecting Gaits Farm/USEF Dressage Festival of Champions.

(Gladstone, NJ, USA) - Under the banner of a chilly relentless rain, the 2009 Collecting Gaits Farm/USEF Dressage Festival of Champions got underway on Thursday, June 18. The “Brentina Cup” Riders (aged 20-28) were the first of five groups of horses and riders vying for National Championships titles. The nine “Brentina Cup” Riders were the only division to get a performance in as the rest of the day’s competition was suspended due to the deluge that ensued.

(USA) - For the first time, a US Dressage Rider has been named by the United States Olympic Committee (USOC) as the Athlete of the Month. Steffen Peters was honored for his effort in Las Vegas, NV at the 2009 Rolex FEI World Cup Final. Riding Ravel, for longtime supporter Akiko Yamazaki, Peters made history. The pair earned the best score of their career together in the Freestyle (84.95%) and brought down the house at the Thomas & Mack Arena on April 18.

Triple Olympic gold medalist Anky van Grunsven arrived with her husband and two young children Monday night, fresh from last week's World Cup qualifying victory in Amsterdam. The black stallion, IPS Painted Black, that she has been campaigning this winter in Europe, was in quarantine in Miami and scheduled to arrived at PBIEC today (Tuesday).

(Wellington, Fla., USA) - The schedule of the Exquis World Dressage Masters CDI 5* to be held at the Palm Beach International Equestrian Center Jan. 29-31 was announced yesterday (Monday).

Six US Dressage Riders take World to Task at Inaugural Exquis World Dressage Masters
(USA) – Six of the most promising US dressage riders will take on some of the world’s best when the Exquis World Dressage Masters heads to the Palm Beach International Equestrian Club January 28-31. This brand new series will travel from Wellington, FL to Salzburg, Austria and Munchen, Germany in May, then to Hickstead, UK in June. The series of competitions is bringing riders from across the globe together for a brand new initiative. Twenty starters will compete in the first Grand Prix and then twelve of those horses will go on to compete in the Grand Prix Special. The remaining eight horses will move on to compete in the Grand Prix Freestyle under lights on Saturday evening in the newly renovated International Arena.
